Questions Regarding IBM Hard Drive Recovery

IBM Deskstar Hard Drive
I bought my Deskstar hard drive just shy of Hitachi buying out Deskstar from IBM, so the device I have on my machine is technically from IBM, I suppose. One day, a fluke happened that resulted in a power surge that bypassed all my failsafes. The hard drive died and immediately after was the smell of something burning. I opened it up to see that the controlling chip for the spinning drive and PCB is totally burnt to a crisp. I desperately need to recover the data.

IBM Deskstar Hard Drive
My computer comes with an IBM Deskstar hard drive. Despite the negative reputation of the Deskstar, I didn’t replace a seemingly perfectly normal and functioning hard drive in my system. 7 weeks after installation, there is a very irregularly patterned and audible clicking sound coming from the hard drive. I figure that it has something to do with its spinning mechanism. The hard drive is not getting recognised and I need the data from the IBM Deskstar.
