Rig data that cannot be produced twice — can it be saved?
Often, yes. Test and instrument PCs tend to be old, lightly maintained and bolted to something expensive, so they run until they stop. Take the disk out and post that alone; the rig stays put and we work from an image.
Could somebody collect the drive from Coventry?
No — there is no van. A tracked, insured courier is quicker and far less eventful than a driver stuck in traffic. If what you have is bulky — a whole server, a rack unit — ring first and we will settle how it should travel.
